Welcome to Discount Medicine (the “Platform”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Discount Medicine website, mobile application, and services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. General & Eligibility

Applicability: These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Discount Medicine, governed by the Information Technology Act, 2000, and applicable e-commerce rules.

Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Platform. By using the Platform, you represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract.

Service Location: Our Services are provided in compliance with the laws of India. We do not guarantee that the products are available or permissible for use outside India.
2. User Accounts

Registration: To order medicines, you may be required to register an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.

Confidentiality: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Ordering Medicines & Prescriptions

Valid Prescription: The sale of prescription drugs (e.g., Schedule H and H1 drugs) requires a scanned copy of a valid prescription from a Registered Medical Practitioner. Discount Medicine reserves the right to reject an order if the prescription is found to be invalid, illegible, or expired.

Prohibited Items: Discount Medicine strictly prohibits the sale of Schedule X drugs, narcotic drugs, and psychotropic substances (habit-forming drugs) through the Platform.

Verification: Our registered pharmacists will review your uploaded prescription before dispensing any medication. We may contact you or your prescribing doctor for clarification.

No Substitution: We will only dispense the medicines specifically prescribed by your doctor, in compliance with Indian pharmacy laws.
4. Payments and Deliveries

Billing: All supplies of drugs will be accompanied by a valid cash or credit memo generated through our portal.

Delivery: Delivery timelines are estimates. We are not liable for delays caused by third-party logistics partners or force majeure events.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Liability

No Medical Advice: The information provided on Discount Medicine is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Intermediary Status: Discount Medicine acts as a marketplace facilitator connecting registered retail pharmacies with buyers, qualifying as an ‘intermediary’ under the IT Act, 2000.
6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Satna, Madhya Pradesh.
